ABOUT THE DANCE EDUCATION CENTER

Whether you're looking for professional-level classes or a class to get you started, The Center has something that's just right for you. Home to six professional contemporary dance companies, The Center for Contemporary Dance is a non-recital, non-competition school of dance that balances structure and creativity to provide an encouraging forum in which to explore and practice the multi-disciplinary art of movement. The Center functions as a place of higher learning based on the National Standards for Dance Education, offering classes in technique, composition, wellness, performance and artistic development for dancers of all levels, including beginners of all ages.

The Center's classes, workshops and programs equip students with a broader definition of dance that reaches into the art of dance. Students of The Center are guided to the discovery of their own unique artistic process, allowing them to consciously use dance as a means of clearly expressing concepts, ideas, perceptions and emotions. This is how a dancer becomes an Artist.

Please call (407) 695-8366 or visit The Center for Contemporary Dance in person, Monday through Thursday from 11am to 7pm and Saturday from noon to 6 pm. New students are accepted on a rolling basis and may begin classes at any time.
