This workshop-style student showcase is followed by a discussion with choreographers and student dancers, giving audiences an insider's look at The Center's unique approach to dance education.  If you're thinking about enrolling yourself or your child at The Center, this is the perfect opportunity to learn more about the magic that sets The Center apart from the rest!


This intimate showcase also features special performances by The Center's Pre-Professional students and guest appearances by The Center's professional dancers!  Come, discover the dance!  Space is limited.  Please purchase tickets early as this event will sell out. Presenting a contemporary twist on Lewis Carroll's classic Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, Nao Dance explores the fragile transitional period between childhood and adulthood in this fanciful, thought-provoking tale about metamorphosis and self-discovery.  With engaging improvisational choreography, original scores, live accompaniment and a powerful message, Alice Takes Wonderland explores what it means to grow up feeling different by taking a sentimental look at the value of childhood.  Suitable for all ages.  Tickets can be purchased online now.  Tickets can also be purchased by calling (407) 695-8366 or by visiting the Box Office.

From heartache to hope, from struggle to progress...

 

Take a journey through time with this moving celebration of Black History, brought to life with an artful blend of contemporary dance, cultural music and historic narratives.  A riveting story for all ages, Colours of Courage begins in 17th-century Africa and seamlessly moves through the centuries, exploring the emotional impact of the slave era, the pivotal achievements of Civil Rights Movement and the momentous place we stand today.

The Center for Contemporary Dance is pleased to participate in the Orange County Arts Education Center's Rush to the Arts Ticket Program.  The Center will provide unsold tickets to a performance on the day of the performance to students and teachers (K-12) with a valid school ID (2 tickets per ID) for $10 each.  In order to purchase tickets, you must appear in person at the performance venue one hour prior to the show.  Tickets cannot be purchased or reserved over the phone.  First come, first served until tickets are gone. **Rush to the Arts tickets are not guaranteed and might not be available for each performance.

The Center for Contemporary Dance has auditions for dancers in Orlando and Central Florida looking to enter professional dance companies.  Auditions for dancers and Orlando dance performances take place.  Dancers can
